JV Rocks improve to 7-0

The JV Rocks kept their win-streak alive on Tuesday evening beating South Oldham by a score of 8-6. Sophomore Max Medley pitched 4 2/3 innings allowing five hits, two earned runs while striking out five. Nick Carroll picked up the win after hurling 2 1/3 innings while scattering just three hits.

After taking a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first, the Rocks offense stayed patient at the plate over the course of the game, drawing ten walks and spraying five hits. A solid team-approach at the plate, aggressive base running, good pitching and sound defense helped the team earn their seventh consecutive victory.

Next up for the JV team is a game against North Oldham on Wednesday evening at Thurman Hutchins Park. First pitch is slated for 7:30pm (following the Freshmen game vs. North Oldham which starts at 5:30pm).
