Trinity Varsity pulls out an exciting win over Bullitt East in extra innings.......

Trinity beats Bullitt East in a 9 inning low scoring game.  Brody Heil pitched the first five innings with no earned runs.  The 0-0 tie was broken in the top of the sixth when AJ Arnold induced an RBI walk.  In the bottom of the sixth, Bullitt East returned the favor with a single run.  Blake Harper entered the game pitching in the sixth inning.  

The game was complicated by each side leaving 11 runners on base.  The game remained locked at 1-1 until the top of the 9th when Ben Metzinger, who was 4-5, hit a single into right-center field.  Matthew Higgins, 2-5, was up next and hit a scorcher into right, which was mishandled by the right fielder.  Metzinger scored from first, as the ball ricocheted around the right field fence, Higgins made it home making the the score 3-1 Trinity (See the video below).  Harper pitched the bottom of the ninth, with three up and three down, picking up the win.
